If you are planning on taking your girlfriend golfing for the very first time, then it is important to plan out ahead of time a few things so that she enjoys the experience. The more fun she has, the more likely it is that she will want to continue on learning about golf, and hence, more time on the links for you, which is always a great thing for a golf fanatic. However, it is important to remember that a beginner golfer will require a few special considerations that you, as the experienced golfer, might not. So, here they are.
Don't Pick A Busy Tee Time
You might not have trouble lining up your shot, sighing the hole, and teeing off, but that won't be the case for your girlfriend. She, like all beginners, will golf more slowly because it is her first time going. So, you don't want to run into hassles where people are complaining that the two of you are taking too much time. That will get her frazzled, and it will ruin the experience. As any golfer knows, the prime-time spots can get super congested with other golfers getting antsy to play though, and beginners are best suited to going at different times. So, pick either an early bird or twilight special. Twilight is a particularity good idea since it won't be super sunny, and she will get to relax and not have to worry about crowds of golfers behind her waiting for her to finishing so they can play. Twilight is also really romantic time to be in the park.
Bring Golf Gloves
Your hands might be calloused and used to swinging a golf club for a couple of hours, but she will appreciate the gloves. You should get her a nice pair and surprise her with them as a gift. This way she won't have sore hands and blisters at the end of the course. This is another way to make sure she has a really great experience.
Pick A Scenic Golf Course and Skip The Cart
If you have the option of many different golf courses, pick the one that has the most scenic landscape. As a beginner, she probably won't be too interested in the variations in the green and other subtleties that experienced golfers obsess over; she will, however, appreciate a beautiful surrounding. And since you are going at twilight and you will be in a beautiful location, skip the cart and walk the course. It won't be midday, so the sun won't kill you. The walk will be nice and a cool way to spend the evening.
A few months ago, I realized I didn't really enjoy my vacation time that much. Instead of getting outside and doing something fun, I found myself chilling in front of the television and trying to figure out what to do with my free time. Fortunately, a friend of mine mentioned joining a local sports league and trying out a few new hobbies. I was nervous at first, but I knew that she was right. I started playing in a sports league, and it was a great time. I was able to lose a little weight and enjoy the great outdoors. Check out this blog for more information about recreation and sports.
